Concert Kaas chante Piaf - Amsterdam – 27 November 2012
Here is a review about my day in Amsterdam and going to the Kaas chante Piaf concert and meeting Patricia and Cyril, her manager.
I arrived early in Amsterdam. Already nervous of what was to come. Went to have dinner somewhere and met Mary and then we went to Carré.
They didn’t have our backstage passes yet, so we went to the backstage office at the back and talked with the front desk man a bit until somebody came to get us and bring us to Cyril.
We entered the artist foyer and my heart nearly stopped. There at a table sat Patricia together with Cyril, Fréderic Helbert and another member of her crew, eating their dinners.
We sat at another table and Cyril came to us and we shook hands and he said that he would be with us in a minute. I didn’t care, cause sitting there in the same room as Patricia was great!
Tequila walking around and begging for food. It was adorable.

After a little while Cyril finished his dinner and came to sit with us. WFor 20 minutes or so we talked about all sorts of things.

In the mean time Patricia left the room to prepare for the concert. After talking to Cyril for 20 minutes or so we went to the hall too. Tried to get the backstage passes again, but still no luck.

Then the show started. It was fantastic again. Patricia started with “Mon Dieu’, but this time not in a pew, but just kneeling on the ground.
There was another dress with black feathers, that really looked good. You can see that in the photos.
I don’t know the set list. I was too busy watching, lol. But it was a great concert. The Dutch public loved it! Around 10 pm it was finished.
Cyril gave me permission to meet Patricia after the show, but we still hadn’t our backstage passes.
We went to the Backstage office again and the front desk man made a phone call and somebody came to get us. We went to the artist foyer again.
After 10 minutes or so Cyril came to get us and we went to Patricia’s dressing room. She wasn’t there anymore. We waited for a moment and there walking in the hall Patricia came to us.
There was another lady that had authorisation to talk to Patricia and the 3 of chatted with Patricia. We gave our presents. Patricia was very cheerful and looked great. See the photos.
Tequila was there too. Lovely.
After making some photos we thanked her and Cyril and went to the back door. We also met Johnny Dyke, the pianist and Fréderic Helbert.

It was a great day and Mary and I were happy about it!
Thanks Patricia and Cyril!

Here is a photo of my meeting with Patricia.

Patricia Kaas Quotes

When you are 25 or even 30, you can just do things. When you get to 35, things are different. Time is more precious to me now. I've got my priorities.

I am not sad, but I am melancholic. When you lose your mother at 20 and then your father soon after, melancholia is part of your life.

I always doubted myself. I doubted the way I looked, my body, my voice - everything.

For me love is not a quote, nor a novel ... It's a real life!

My beauty secret is: do not smoke, do not drink alcohol and be happy.
